The poet Žarko Milenic from Bosnien-Hercegovina visited Denmark April 2012.
He was introduced at this meeting in Danish Authors’ Society by another Bosnien-Hercegovina poet Milena Rudez who is living in Denmark. Jane Kabel, Toni Liversage and Milena Rudež acted as translators of texts by Žarko Milenic and interpreters as well, since the audience consisted of both Danes and Bosnians.
The Danish poets Marianne Larsen, Niels Hav and Nina Malinovski read own poems in Danish. All of them have been published in Bosnien-Hercegovina translated by Milena Rudež. Some of those poems were read in Bosnian by Milena Rudež. The Danish poet Thorvald Bertelsen read some of his haikus which then Milena read in Bosnian, they has been published in the Bosnian journal Rijec, of which Žarko Milenic is editor. He is born 1961 in Brcko in Bosnien-Hercegovina and besides being a poet his is editor, translator and journalist.
